Love Replete
Stars shine across the heavens
Meteors flash in velvet skies
Fresh flowers blossom
In green meadows’ grass
Whilst true love rises high
Just as stars above are endless
And shall never deplete
For as so long
As the silver’y Moon shines
Our love shall be replete
Love is but a whispered hope
A shimmering moonbeam
Impressionistic
A motif; a trope
A scant remembrance of a cast-off dream
Love Is Purpose
Friendship
Is relationship without purpose
I asking nothing of you
You nothing of me*
While with Love
Relationship is the purpose
Each giving all to the other
Expecting nothing in return
But hoping
*Quote from Billy Connolly, former US Poet
Laureate, on PBS Newshour 12/18/25, ‘I think of friendship as a relationship without purpose - I not
wanting anything from you, you nothing from me’
